Hi.  Welcome to International Youth Ventures, known in the past as A Creative Experience. 

I started off over twenty years ago as a host for an international student.  ​Over the course of time, hosting and moving around, I was asked to coordinate for a small company in Alberta.  I worked with five different school divisions and half a dozen Agents, creating programs during the summer and winter months, setting up homestay experiences and supervising excursions.

Now, with a great team, we focus on Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia for the most part, creating custom programs for winter and summer.  We do offer school year aid however our focus is for the most part now on camps and programs for international school divisions and Agents.  We at times work with individuals as well, and we aim to keep within the budget asked of us.

Immersion is a great way for a teen to experience Canada, a Canadian family and their active lives, while learning English.  I personally have 'family' members across the world as a result of bringing teens into our home during an Immersion program.

Camps are usually introduced as part of an Immersion program as most provinces do not offer a month of camp.  Generally we find the camp that suits the teen (or teens) and set the Immersion experience around that camp . Horse, art, rock climbing, and adventure camps are some of what can be offered. 

​

Immersion/Excursion programs usually involve small or large groups.  The groups have set itineraries that are worked out with the Agent for the area they choose. 

ESL classes can be added to Immersion and Immersion/Excursion programs.

Our team matches the teen/young adult to a family so that both have an excellent, safe, and fun experience.  No family is the same, as this is Canada, the melting pot of countries!!
